Website Accessibility

With more and more countries around the world passing laws about blind and disabled access to the Internet (including the Disability Discrimination Act in the UK), web accessibility has become a hot topic for companies.

At Kingsmead Interactive we don’t view accessibility as simply having to do enough to comply with the law. We view building accessible websites simply as part of good design standards. With over 5 million disabled people in the UK alone it makes business sense to have an accessible website to allow your company to reach that market.

Having an accessible website doesn’t mean your site will have restrictions placed on it, or it can’t be attractive. Far from it having an accessible website will mean you’ve got a clear elegant design, effective in-site search, good navigation, and clear, well-constructed content.
